Ep 49 - Escape from Virtual Island / More Bedtime Stories for Cynics / Heads Will Roll

This month we’re doing something a little different. Not only are we discussing three books instead of one, we’re discussing three free books that come with an Audible subscription. The first is Escape from Virtual Island by John Lutz and read by Paul Rudd, Jack McBrayer, Jane Krakowski and a top notch cast. When a guest goes missing in the virtual simulation, a group of employees has to go in and try to track him down. The second is More Bedtime Stories for Cynics by several authors and read by Nick Offerman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Jane Lynch and more top notch celebrities. What happens when you strip out all of the kid friendly parts of a bedtime story? You are left with extremely weird, adult humor. Finally we discuss Heads Will Roll by Kate McKinnon & Emily Lynne and read by Kate McKinnon, Emily Lynne, Tim Gunn, Peter Dinklage and even more awesome people. An evil queen has to scheme to keep control of her kingdom when the peasants start talking about something called an “election.” Next month we are reading Greenlights by Matthew McConaughy.
